Community First, Service Always

For the past 24 years, I have been a proud Stittsville resident in Granite Ridge raising a family and working as a small business owner. My late wife Kelly and I founded a local business that was rooted in a core value of mine - family and community.

In Stittsville, I've served as a Street Representative with the Granite Ridge Community Association, volunteered with the Stittsville RAMS Hockey Association and Bell Warriors Football and was proud to help start the Rotary Club of Ottawa–Stittsville.

I've volunteered with the Yak Strong Fundraiser and McHappy Day at the Stittsville Main Street McDonald's. I've also enjoyed sharing my business experience as a guest speaker with Grade 12 marketing students at Sacred Heart High School. Across Ottawa, I've had the pleasure of serving on the boards of Music and Beyond, the Bells Corners Business Improvement Area and the Amazing People Gala. I organized the Tee Up for Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes fundraiser, served on the planning committee for Laugh for the Cure in support of the Ottawa Cancer Foundation and donate blood and plasma through Canadian Blood Services multiple times per year.

These experiences have shaped how I approach leadership and community. I've learned that listening comes first, working together produces the best results, and that every decision should be made with the community's best interests at heart. Whether I'm supporting a local charity, working with volunteers, or helping a small business succeed, I believe positive change happens when people come together with a shared purpose.

I was humbled to receive the Order of Ottawa in 2015 and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside dedicated volunteers, community leaders, local businesses, and neighbours who are committed to making Ottawa a better place.

Now, I am putting my name forward to be the next Councillor in the community I call home, Stittsville.
